VACANCIES :

SC-75, ST-37, OBC-135, Gen-253, Total - 500. 8 vacancies for OH category

& 7 vacancies for VH category candidates are reserved horizontally. Vacancies including
reserved vacancies are provisional and may vary according to the requirements of the
Bank.

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : AS ON 01.08.2009

(A) Educational Qualifications:

i) Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Business Management,
Finance, Marketing, International Business, Operations Management, Systems, HR
or

ii) M.Com. or

iii) M.A. / M.Sc. in Economics or M.A. / M.Sc. in Statistics or

iv) C.A. / CWA / CFA / CS (Company Secretary)

(B) Percentage of Marks (for candidates without any professional qualification) :

i) 60% minimum aggregate marks in XIIth Standard for General / OBC Category
candidates (55% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates)
AND

ii) 55% minimum aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of pass course or
Honours Course for General / OBC Category candidates (50% minimum aggregate
marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates) AND

iii) 55% minimum aggregate marks in Post Graduation for General / OBC Category
candidates (50% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates)

(C) In case of candidates having Professional Qualification
CA or CWA or CFA or CS,
candidates must have secured 60% minimum aggregate marks in XIIth Standard.
(55% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates).

Note :

a) Candidates who have not passed XIIth Standard Examination but have passed
Diploma courses after Xth Standard are eligible for the captioned recruitment, provided :

i) Diploma course passed must be a full time course (Diploma course through
correspondence are not eligible) with a minimum of Two years duration

ii) The Diploma course should be recognised / approved by the State Board of Technical
Education of the concerned State.

b) The percentage of marks in XIIth Std. / Diploma Course shall be arrived at by dividing
the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects by aggregate maximum marks of
all subjects irrespective of optional / additional optional subjects studied. Similarly percentage
of marks in Graduation or Post Graduation shall also be arrived at by dividing the
aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects by maximum marks of the
course (both for Pass / Honours course) for all the years of the course.

c) The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the marksheet
or provisional certificate issued by the University / Institute. In case the result of a
particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute then a
certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the
date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

d) The Post Graduate Degree or Diploma mentioned at (A)(i) above should be minimum
Two years full time course (part time course/ distance learning courses are not eligible).

(C) Age Limit :

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.08.2009 (Candidate must have
been born not earlier than 02.08.1979 and not later than 01.08.1988 both days inclusive).
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserve category candidates
Upper age is relaxable by

(a) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.

(b) 5 years in the case of : i) SC/ST candidates. ii) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency
Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) provided applicants
have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been
released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to
be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on
account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability or have
been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on
invalidment iii) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of
the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December,
1989.

c) 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH (SC/
ST) candidates.
NOTE : CUMULATIVE AGE RELAXATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE EITHER
UNDER THE ABOVE ITEMS OR IN COMBINATION WITH ANY OTHER ITEMS.

2. Notes for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH)/Visually Handicapped (VH)
candidates :

a)
Only those OH candidates who have locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with
locomotor impairment of minimum of 40% and only those who fall in the following
categories are eligible to apply:
BL - Both legs affected but not arms
OA - One arm affected (R or L) - (a) Impaired reach;

(b) weakness of grip;

(c) ataxia
OL - One leg affected (R or L)
MW - Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance

b) Only those Visually handicapped persons who suffer from any one of the following
conditions are eligible to apply.

i) Total absence of sight.

ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with
correcting lenses.

iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse.

c) Candidates having low vision as defined in Chapter I, Para 2 (u) of The Persons
with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, protections of rights and full participation) Act 1995.

d) At the time of written examination, only blind/low vision candidates and those candidates
whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use own scribe/writer at his/
her own cost. In all such cases where a scribe/writer is used, the following rules
will apply:

i) The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe/writer at his/her own cost.

ii) Scribe/writer must be one grade junior in academic qualification to the candidate.

iii) Scribe/writer should be one possessing 60% or less marks.

iv) Scribe/writer should be from an academic discipline other than that of the candidate

v) Both the candidate as well as the scribe/writer will have to give a suitable
undertaking, confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for
a scribe as mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that he/she did
not fulfil any of the laid-down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the
candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the
written test.

vi) Only those candidates who use a scribe/writer shall be eligible for extra time of
20 minutes and/or part there of for every hour of the examination

vii) Candidate using scribe shall have to use scribe for both objective Type Test and
Descriptive Type Test. Not using scribe for both the tests will be a disqualification.

e) Hearing Impaired candidates are not eligible for this post.

4. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

PHASE - I

a. Written Examination : Objective Type - Time 2 Hrs. 30 minutes (combined)-
Maximum marks-200
Candidates will be called for an objective type examination. The objective type
examination will consist of i) Test of English, ii) Test of Data interpretation and analysis,
iii) Test of reasoning, iv) Test of Financial Awareness & Marketing. Question paper
will be in bilingual form i.e. in Hindi and English except the test of English language.

b. Descriptive Test of English knowledge - Time 60 Minutes -
Maximum marks-50
Candidates who are 40th percentile and above in each of the four tests in the
Objective Type examination and with an aggregate 40% minimum (35% minimum for
SC/ST/PWD) marks as also 40% (minimum)/ 35% (minimum for SC/ST/PWD) in descriptive
examinate will qualify for Group Discussion and Interview. Depending on the number
of vacancies, however a merit list of qualified candidates will be drawn up and
candidate will be called for the second phase i.e. Group Discussion and Interview
in ratio of 1:3 for the vacancies.

PHASE - II

a. Group Discussion & Interview : Maximum Marks-50
The minimum qualifying marks for Group Discussion and Interview shall be 40%
(minimum - 20 marks) for General/OBC category candidates: 35% (minimum - 18
marks) for SC/ST/PWD category candidates out of a maximum of 50 combined marks
for Group Discussion and Interview.
FINAL SELECTION
Candidates will have to pass both in Phase I & II for final selection.
Phase -I and Phase - II marks will be aggregated and arranged in the descending order
for candidates who have qualified in both the Phases seperately and depending on
the vacancies, selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each
category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase I, Phase II and thereafter the
list of candidates finally selected will be available on the Bank's website in addition
to publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.

5. DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION (PHASE- I) : 13.09.2009 (SUNDAY) and will be held
at following 14 Local Head Office Centres only.
